Rajiv Ranjan Jha becomes Director (Projects) at Power Finance Corporation


Power Finance Corporation Ltd, a Maharatna CPSE company and India’s leading non-bank energy-focused finance company, announced on October 28 the appointment of Rajiv Ranjan Jha as Director (Projects). Jha previously worked as an Executive Director (Projects) at PFC before his rise to the coveted position. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing and applying solid strategies to venture into new business avenues and also overseeing ongoing projects funded by the company.

Previously, he was responsible for the entire loan portfolio of private sector projects under consortium lending with PFC as lead financial institution. He also managed the renewable energy loan portfolio and worked extensively in the area of ​​project appraisal (especially for independent private power projects). He has also been involved in the development and allocation of UMPPs for which PFC is the nodal agency. Jha was instrumental in resolving some of the large scale stressed assets with a loan value of around Rs 10,000 crore.
